Not sure where to get started? Here are some of our expert’s top tips for using our spray paint.

Step 1: For the best possible smooth results, lightly sand your object or surface first - dry the base and remove any grease.

Step 2: Cover any areas that should not be painted with masking tape or newspaper

Step 3: Shake the can for 2 minutes before using it.

Step 4: Spray the object in the desired colour, working in thin layers.

Just getting started with spray painting? While Twist & Spray makes it easy, here are a few of our top tips to help you get an amazing result.

• Make sure to mask off any areas you don’t want sprayed, using newspaper and dust sheets.
• Make sure the room is well-ventilated, or spray outside.
• Spray when it’s not too hot or cold (see the reverse of the can for guidelines) as this can affect the paint.
• Always read the instructions on the back of the can before starting.
• Spray an inconspicuous test area if possible, to check the result.
• A primer is recommended for bare wood.
• Priming is also recommended for high usage items like tables, chairs, and chest of drawers, etc – priming gives added durability.
• For high usage items, allow paint to completely dry and harden for at least 72 hours before putting your newly painted item into use.
